Here is my former Tracer. I had this bike for years and it was great. I did the Counting Coup on it and couple other races. Even took it to Mammoth for a summer or two.

Intense is probably the one bike I really drool over. I like my Santa Cruz's but if I could ever afford an Intense I'd get one. They're just too expensive. Nearly $500 more than the Santa Cruz and with the pkg Santa Cruz puts out for a complete build they're hard to pass up. If I tried to spec out an Intense the same as my Heckler i'd dish out nearly 3500 I believe and my Heckler was 2600 as a complete bike. Still I do love those Intense's...one can always dream. The Intense is my Angelina Jolie of the mtn biking world.

where are all the old M1 pics? I remember back in the Big Bear days (pre big rig ban) everyone was riding one. Heck, it sounded like a bunch of cow bells coming down the hill. lol

So lets see some old M1 photos. I know a bunch of you had them.

I'm expecting a new baby soon. I expect him to be about 24". An even smaller 20" version is also a very high probability.

This was back in May of '05 the day I picked up my new girl, Aspen. Here I've got her lined up to my FIRST EVER SUSPENSION BIKE, Roxanne. Yes, I name my bikes.

Roxanne was built out with a shiver fork and a Rohloff rear geared hub, I had this built in '01. And back then nobody ran a duel crown fork, and I was talked out of using an 8 inch rear disc. Funny that years later that same fellow (who now works at Specialized as a product introduction manager) looked at my bike and recalled those words and said look at hime now with an 8 inch rear disc. HA! Well, today I've toned her down. I have a FOX 36 VAN for her "breast reduction", and I've switched out the Rohloff to a conventional derallieur set up with Hadley hubs and SRAM shifters, and some bitchen Diety bars, white of course!

Aspen has been updated since this shot. I now run a Thompson angled seat post because I kept sliding my seat back and then it would bend the rails, not anymore. I also have Maxxis Minuions now and, although very slow rolling, they provide a great feel and traction. Plus, she's got an extra pair of shoes! Since I had changed over my SLX to a derailliur system that freed up the Rohloff I had for it, I swapped to an 8 inch rotor and bought another pair of matching rims and viola! I put street type rubber on as I was headed to Moab and I knew this is the set up to have on Slickrock and it delivered, despite the weight she rolled real easy. And I keep these wheels on most times as I ride the street and hills by my house for a daily workout and urban asault.

Will grab an update photo of the girls tonight because they are all cleaned up!
