Is this 2008 Shox any good? Tora Solo Air

Co-worker here was thinking about buying this fork. I went to Sram.com to further assist him. I couldn't locate it since they're still displaying the 07's same gray legs but it's 5LBs w/ the coil.

Shout back if this is any good or not.

That fork is a boat anchor. As a replacement for something truly horrible, I'd say yes. As an upgrade from something mediocre I'd say no. Get a Reba.

On the other hand, if he wants a cheap, entry-level, low-quality fork, this fork isn't too bad.

IMHO, I'd rather buy a good, used fork for that price, if funds were limited.
