Default Anyone using Serrapeptase?

Does anyone have experience taking Serrapeptase? My chiropractor recommended it and it seems to work very well. I was just wondering what other people's experience has been. Thanks!

------------------------------------------------------

Serrapeptase (Serratio Peptidase) is a proteolytic enzyme commercially produced in the laboratory and isolated from the microorganism, Serratia E15. It was originally found being used by silkworms to aid digestion and dissolve its chrysalis. This enzyme can be used to digest non-living tissue, blood clots, cysts, arterial plaque and inflammation in all forms. The uses are wide ranging and cover just about every condition that is affected by inflammation and/or non-living tissue and is in clinical use in parts of Asia and Europe. Serrapeptase is used as an alternative to Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS) which are commonly used to treat arthritis and inflammation. Dr. Hans Alfred Nieper (1928-199 used Serrapeptase as an arterial blockage treatment for patients in Germany.

i would be concerned with it's use from a arteriosclerosis standpoint.

anyone above the age of 30 or so usually has several arterial lesions with necrotic cores. if one of those lesions is broken down by the use of this supplement, you could create a really horrible situation for yourself. essentially the massive heart attacks and strokes are usually due to just such a scenario...

Sure it's not banned by UCI?

I checked the 2007 prohibited list and it was not listed by name. Did you find it?

No, but I was just tossing it out there.

I had a pro license last year...doubted anyone would ever get tested but it has happened before.

I asked my chiropractor about this. The product has been used in Europe for over 20 years and is used specifically for heart patients.
