Default Tubeless, or tubes all the way??????

I have been using Tubeless tires for quite some time, and hear lots of negative remarks in the shop regarding them. I have even used them in my FR bike, when I had it. Never had a single flat!!!! Insanely good luck?? You tell me! Just curious on your thoughts. Bad luck, good luck?? Thanks everyone!

Damn Kenny, I thought I was a night owl.

UST feels the best this I will contend, but I will only use it dry. All other systems are an inferior sloppy mess, I have a Michelin in the garage on a 819 that has not needed air in well, ever because its still up.

The only reason I am back on butyl is not wanting to lug a damn semi tire lever around. That's all for tonight folks, Bommer Canyon in the morn.

kdog4130-I've been using tubeless(819's-UST),for 4-1/2 years now.The only flat I've had was a tire that was skewerd in 6 places of the sidewall by a piece of barbed wire that wrapped around the rim.I do use 2 scoops of Stans and carry a small bottle of Stans, along with some rubber bands to make a plug if needed.I also carry a tube with me,but wind up giving it to somebody on the trail, especially at this time of the year. My only gripe is that there isn't that big of a selection of tires. - Lloyd

I have been running tubeless for over a year now. The biggest advantage that I have noticed really is the ability to run much lower air pressure. The added traction climbing and descending can be substantial. Just my two cents...

Run Stans and make all tires tubeless.

If you don't care about having to stop once in a while to fix a puncture, you can go tubes.
If you race, don't like having to fix flats in the middle of a ride, or want to run lower tire pressure, go tubeless.
I ran regular tires on UST rims with Stans for my racing bike, and regular rims and tires with stan's kit on my SS.

i've been running UST since 2002 never had any problems except for tiny little pin pricks from cactus needles. But since the introduction of Stans fluid it's been no worries.
