To all you haters at Mammoth who said I wasn't rollin' a "real bike". Look at me now, "a fr/dh bike that pedals".

Yea, for now. I'm hoping to get a 66 ( fingers crossed for one with travel adjustments) for my old frame and the 888(something a bit lighter).

Wow That is a cool bike. I have seen one of those before. Where you trying to surprise everyone? Looks like you will be riding one a tough ride.

I may have posted in the thread, but didn't start it. I got the slacker version so it'll be better for the downhill stuff.

Congrats on the new ride. Are you going to paint it green and blue?

Your title on the thread has had this going in my head, so I'm going to share:

Eff no! I'll just keep my green cranks on it and claim its for visibility. I might still paint the 888 if nobody wants to buy or trade for it.

After racing Fontana Sunday I think I am going to have to build up a DH EVO.
It is all about peddling that wall and the tight rock gardens.

alright, I finished the build last night (kinda sketchy: brakes rub and the pedals not completely in) and I have to say it performs just as sweet as it looks. It soaks up everything and I dont recal ever bottoming out (didn't do much drops, but some technical and the southridge 4x track.

The bike has a different feel that any bike I have ridden. It's very tight feeling, but in a good way. It felt very "flickable" and responsive.

The only complaint I have with the entire bike is that the linkages are really fat and my calfs rub on them sometimes (not to say my calfs aren't fat either, but hopefully with this bike that will change).

Overall it felt really nice and it was even better that it was made right here in Anahiem. I would definatly buy the bike again and recomend it to anyone looking for an all mountain bike that leans a bit more free ride than XC.

Without further rambling here are the pics:

Burly linkage plates

see you guys on the trails,
Ryan
