Here is the link for the Plant drive tomorrow at the corner of Santiago Canyon and Modjeska Canyon for those that can help. It is from 7am to 4pm. Basically, you can show up there to donate or call a number today by noon (listed at the website) to order drought reisistant plants, which can be delivered tomorrow so the residents can pick them up.
http://www.plantmodjeska.org/ Take care... PS- If you want to ready Marty Wheel's story, it is near the bottom.... |

Wow, I'm a little surprised not many people replied to this one....
Thanks for the thanks Brewmaster! The site above is pretty good with stories of people who lost parts of their house helping others in Modjeska canyon who lost it all. Not that many homes were lost in OC....compared to SD... Anyhow, if you could show up or call the number tomorrow, it would be great. They even recognized STR on their website! Thanks... ![]() |

Very well.... We saw lot's of damage..... Many homes burnt down...
But the spirts of the people in that canyon were up. Not sure how many lost there houses, but I saw a bunch. Many "THANK YOU" signs out to the various FD partments. Many other fund raisers going on for the FD's and the people who lost so much. They gave thanks to STR for on their webstie. Pretty kewl to represent. ...and the best part, my daughter was taught a valuable lesson in life... thx for asking and I only wish I took pictures as I know you would.... |

Thanks for representing. I already had a training ride scheduled for the 17th for a Holy Jim to Trabuco and back ride. Glad you were there and got a good look at the damage. I had a chance to check out the damage at Whiting when I stood guard at the entrance to keep people out. Pretty amazing with all that burned that not a single home was lost there. Thanks again.
