Irony
Anyone find the same irony here.
You work your butt off Mon - Fri, 10 to 12 hours per day, constantly thinking about and planning the weekend long rides; and it inevitably rains on Fri, Sat, and or Sun.  Must be some cosmic joke against mountain bikers.

Dust it off? It has only been 2 weeks since I used it. What time does that ride start on Sunday? I have to get my engine back together this weekend

Out of town magic
Fortunately for me, I'm in Vegas until Monday and I brought the bike. I had a nice solo ride yesterday in Cottonwood. It's raining here in Vegas today but the desert dries very quickly and I'll be riding Bootleg on Sunday. For you So Cal's that have never ridden Bootleg Canyon it is worth the trip.

8am sharp. I'll call you Sat. to see how you feel. I'm not riding Sat. to save myself up for Sunday, it's tough. You should be able to hang on the back.
ps. No aero bars, when you're in the bunch you better be close to your brakes.

i hate the rain, but i've put 3 holes in a trash bag to go ride in the rain before, but i'm not that crazy anymore O

This irony thread has been stuck in my head like a bad Alanis Morrisette song (although all of her songs are bad).
Irony: We've gotten so much rain in such a short period of time that our water tables and reservoirs are saturated and unable to absorb any more of this "blessed" rain. All the rain we are now receiving is just running off to the ocean.
