Oakley grips were originally produced by A'ME, who you may know. You can still find A'ME grips, but I'm not really sure they are still available.

I really liked the original A'ME lock-on grips from the early 80s. I prefer those over any of the current lock-on grips.

I still have a set of the first Oakley glasses (actually got them from a friend before they were released to the public).

Oakley had a funny looking ergonomic grip. It had a wing like end.. Was it the Oakley 3?

Yup, the Oakley 3...I used those on a couple of my bikes back then. I used to shave the outer "wing" for improved ergonomics. Those grips were odd...they were shaped like you grabbed a ball of puddy in your hand.

I think the pic you'd have is of Oakley's second glasses, the Frogskins....back in the days when I was a skinny twig.

I think you're referring to the B2, which were usually a two tone. Last year, I bought half a dozen of NOS B2 grips from a BMX shop in Japan for about $10 a pair. I brought them back here and sold them for $30 a pair.

fock. looks like the same logo.
AMP is still around...but manufacturing automotive after-market parts. They still support their bikes. I retired my AMP B4 last July/August , but still have the frame and use the F3 fork on my Univega SS...remember Univega? if you don't....don't worry...nobody else does either....but it works.

Anyone ever ride a Mongoose IBOC carbon? that was back in...ummm....hmmm....1995?

Ah yes...A GHP. I raced one of those for a while, too. A friend's parents made the graphics for the second gen GHPs. You could imagine Greg's expression when he came by our practice track (Parks) and I had a set of the hand-cut stickers on my GHP, before he even had them yet. And damn him, he ripped off my bike's orange color scheme for his introduction of the stickers on his race bike.
