Hellride 2009
The company I work for has been doing an annual group ride of SART for something like the last 10 or 12 years. I have been organizing this ride the past two years and would like to extend an invitation to everyone here at STR.
The ride is a point to point shuttle of SART beginning at South Fork campground and ending at Uncle Howies Pizza in Redlands. This is a great way for people not familiar with this trail to see almost the entire trail in one day. Especially cool is the lesser known portions below Angelus Oaks.
There are a few variations on the route and a lot of variations on rider ability (pro racers to people who only ride once a year).
I am still working out details on shuttles and start time. We will probably meet in Redlands at Uncle Howies around 8am and try to be at South Fork and moving around 9am.
If you are interested please rsvp. If you can help with shuttling please PM me your email address.
Here are two versions of the ride from year's past:
Route 1:
South Fork - Middle Control - Single Track through Thomas Hunting Grounds - Fire road down to 38 - 38 into Redlands (GPS ended before ride).

Route 2:
South Fork - Middle Control - Single Track through Thomas Hunting Grounds - Fire Road to Morton Peak - SART from Morton Peak to end of SART - Road back into Redlands

Its going to be a really fun ride and will be more 'hellish' for some than others. Its typically about 40 miles and will take the better part of the day. We will likely break into groups towards the end for people that want the extra credits here and there.
Hope to see you there.
If you have any questions please post them to this thread. Please check out this website for more details.

EDIT: Due to the number of responses I will be limiting this event on Monday the 2nd. If you are interested in joining us please RSVP before then. We will be shuttling this and I need to have an idea of how many shuttle vehicles we will need.
