Big 5 out of 5 stars for service, selection and quality of work for me
. I was looking into getting a wheelset for my ride for some time and made some calls plus the typical web research. After writing down the lowest price I could find next to the parts, it was time to pay Adrenaline a visit.Always a good vibe there when you walk in and they talk to you without that businessman mentality (meaning it wasn't fake). I talked to Neil about the wheel build and he wrote down the parts. Neil also gave me some color options that I wasn't aware of (yes, I'm a member of the Red Nipple Army). We talked and he educated me about the wheel building i.e. Tension, Truing, Dishing,plucking... and then it was finalized. Oh yeah, I never brought out the paper with the list since the build was a lot lower than what I had and that's without labor! ![]() ![]() Big thanks to the boys:Jesse, Neil, Jim and Dave. Big thumbs up on "Advise" from Jordan.DT-Swiss 4.2d's on Hadley hubs, DT-Swiss spokes and nipples. ![]() New wheels for the ride ![]() ![]() Those that do know me. Yes, yes I do ride it sometimes even if it is a 26er ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for reading!!! I leave it with this. Last edited by BandMan; 04-21-2008 at 09:02 PM. Reason: double post |

When I was shopping for a new bike I took six months,I went to every bike shop in Ca. Not to throw names around but I found hands down Adrenaline Bike Shop in Tustun is the most professional shop Ive been in. alway friendly and willing to help and answer questions. turn around times are always as they say. I've been to some were I could have flat out walked out with a bike and no one would have notice because they were so wrapped up in there own conversations to notice. If your close enough or hell just make the drive I dont think youll be disapointed!

Yes there is a great crew and better vibe at this shop, truly that "Lexus" experience. I wonder how other shops stay in business when their salespeople habitually ignore repeat customers and are more concerned with bragging about their next race than the needs of who truly pays there salaries. Every time I go into adrenaline I get focused attention, great pricing on sensible build kits and more importantly an invitation to go ride whether I buy anything or not.

I have a bit of advice.
Please, please, please, please DO NOT waste my time. I went on their website today to see if they had a specific DT Swiss tubeless conversion kit. I called the store, spoke with someone and they said they had it. I double checked with the gentleman on the phone "It is made by DT Swiss and it says its for the 5.1d". The gentleman says "Yes". I take off at lunch to go pick it up. I drive from Irvine to Orange and ask the guy behind the counter, the guy I talked to on the phone then says "I got it over here" and goes over to the wall and grabs a Stan's kit. I told him I was looking for the DT Swiss kit as I described over the phone. He said they don't have them. Most of the time I know customers don't know what they want, but the one's that do, are very particular............don't waste their time.

Everyone has their own opinion. I have had only 100% positive experiences at Adrenaline. In fact, I wish I lived closer, I would give them ALL of my business!
I live in Torrance and I often drive all the way to Tustin for the expert service! I'm sure every store has had good and bad moments, the guys there have always bent over backwards to help me out. That's my two cents...
