As for the 29er...............You got me on this one. We have some 07 x calibers for $999.99. I think 17.5 only. Did you ask or know what size you needed before you called? 07's are gone and we would have to order an 08 if the size was not there. We don't bait and switch.that is a serious accusation my friend. Bait and switch is against the law and I would fire an employee straight away for doing that. Once again if you felt you were being slighted or bait and switched why did you not ask for a mangager before going online saying we bait and switch. I never heard of any problem regarding this.
I would politley ask the mods to edit the bait and switch comment from the above post. That is not how we work and if I knew who you were I'd go after you for Slander. bait and switch is illegal in California and a very serious accusation without proof or a single complaint to a mangaer.

Check out this thread Rear Derailleur Pulley send me a PM on how you fee about it, i feel i should not have been charged, i bought 2 bikes from you guys in one day and spent ALOT of money, my bike was barely 4 months old and it rained nearly half of those weekends,

Easy their pilgrims of Jax. I was not singling out the Irvine store I was sharing my experiences at the Jax stores I have been to. Most often it is not the Irvine store. I have not received good customer service during my Jax experiences, this is NOT slander. Maybe the employees that I ran into were having a bad day that day? Maybe I asked something the person didnt know and instead of asking another just gave me faulty info? We are all human and make mistakes but I am not slandering a shop but rather sharing how I was treated by certain employees. Anyone on this forum will tell you I am the first person to give props to any shop that treats me right and I frequent most bike shops and make friends with everyone.

Brent - I am sure you and I would get along fine if we met. I am sure you know what you are talking about but you cannot honestly tell me as a manager that you have never had a bad employee. I have managed staffs of 2-40 people and I have had my share of bad employees, all shops/companies do. Take care and maybe I will see you on the trails.

On one side, you can see how representatives from shops, such as The Path, Switchback Cyclery, Adrenaline, etc. respond when being called to the carpet for their incidents of poor customer service, and the efforts they take to resolve them.

On the other side, you have these guys from Jax. Every post adds another car to the wreck. Just from the animosity shown here alone, there's no wonder customers don't feel comfortable addressing the issues with the staff. That bad attitude seems to start from the top down. This is only an observation. Too bad. Threatening their customers with litigation because they spoke about their experiences and opinions? Come on!!!

Is that peace from the form of a threat with a litigious action, such as suing for slander?

[quote=station;236221]Look, you're probably a really nice guy and do your best over there. I really can't blame you for some guy on the phone who may or may not have known what he was talking about. I've even had shitty service at The Path* at times so don't feel bad. You're getting a lot of crap right now and I feel like it's maybe way to much. I'm going to give Jax another chance. If you're there I'm going to buy you a BBQ chicken (mini) and make peace.

let it go. everyone is entitled to their own opinion, calling someone out and practically trying to force them to come to your store after bad experiences with the other stores in the JAX chain isn't going to help matters...it is his choice whether he wants to support JAX or not...

these JAX threads seem to get plenty of attention...much of it being negative. maybe call a mandatory store employee meeting and go over these reviews of each store so they know what mt. bike ENTHUSIASTS have to say...

no one asked you to kill your account, no one doubted your love for bikes....if you want to leave STR, that is your choice...the reviews will still keep on being posted.

take these reviews for what they are worth and make any necessary changes you feel are worthwhile at your shop(s) and maybe positive reviews will start appearing on these boards...

remember, reviews are peoples opinions, and they will sometimes be hurtfull, or over exagerated. i still shop at all shops, save 3 which i wont mention here, when im in the area. one bad experience is no reason to hate, but a reason to give the benifet of the doubt and give it another shot.

if there is a bad experience, let it be known calmly at the next visit, and usualy shops will make it up to you.

I'm disappointed that brownlandshark's posts were deleted, whether by himself or by a moderator.

Actually, I think it is CRAP because the posts painted a pretty accurate picture of the Jax experience from an employee perspective.

Can they be put back up or are they gone?
Well anyway. For what it's worth All complaints and concerns I have read about here have beed addressed with staff and changes happen daily to improve all aspects of our business. Bear in mind this is Jax Irvine. Many have posted here in reference to our other stores.
Some comments used the term tools, jerks and other names which are tough to read through and not say something. Lots of replies on this forum but we do have thousands of happy clients and friends who share their love for bicycles with us every day.
I have noticed that even on non Jax Irvine related posts that Jax comes up and is just shamelessley bashed for whatever reason is felt neccessary. That is when it gets hard as it seems that type of post is just to "get" somebody. Some are funny, some are true, some are complete fabrications. It is largely the fabrications That upset me. And I do feel a need to give a employee take on a specific situation sometimes.
I still hope for a "secret shopper" from the site and some members to pop in even if just to say Hi and check the place out. Not trolling for business here. You guys are fun and I like this site. Carry on.
