I know MANY of you frequent the Path in Tustin for many of your riding needs so Im sure you can add on to my positive experience there.
Earlier in the week I was emailing Brian in regards to the 29er version of the Kenda Small Block 8. He had worked out a deal for me and told me to come on down. Since he doesnt work the weekend there and I could only make it down there on the weekend I called ahead and spoke with Jon informing him of my emails with Brian and that I was interested in picking up the tire and since I live in Long Beach I wanted to make sure it was in stock. After about 4 seconds on hold, Jon said come on down we got plenty. So I head down there within the hour and I grab a Kenda Small Block 8 off the shelf and am cruising around checking out other stuff and a guy comes up to me (seeing the Small Block 8 in my hand) and says, "Hey, Im Jon and I had pulled a Small Block 8 aside for you, its behind the counter..." I was kinda taken back by his great customer service, he even honored the deal that Brian and I had worked out over emails. I was grateful and thanked him at least 3 times before leaving the shop. Not only was Jon helpful, but Tani had asked if I had any questions, as well as a mechanic who was wrenching in the back, he came out carrying the wheel he was working on to see if I needed help or wanted to test ride a bike. A very positive experience and well worth the drive! |

I still consider The Path my bike shop even after moving to Morro Bay. However, can't just cruise down there if I need something. Sooooo found a really great shop in Atascadero called Sunstorm Cyclery. It's farther from us than some other well known shops such as CBO, but the guys at Cambria weren't the friendliest and the turn around time to have my brakes checked was almost two weeks. The guys at Sunstorm are awesome and are willing to do whatever it takes to get you back on your bike in the least mount of time. They also organize two weekly night rides and weekend rides. So if y'all are ever up this way and need a good shop you should check out Sunstorm.

Stopped by The Path yesterday afternoon to investigate cranks and bottom brackets for the RIP (yes the Truvatives have taken to loosening up every .5 miles) and Brian set me up with all the Middleburn goods black with a red Spider (HOT) anyway when I get home set up everything I noticed that my 20T granny had a smaller diameter then the spider itself (the spider would not allow the chain to ride on the teeth of the ring)
To make a long story short I called Tani (spelling) and he asked me to bring it down. He had his service department spend well over an hour modifying the spider reinstalled everything and even gave the bike a quick once over (my ft rotor was backwords ) to ensure that all was good and I was a happy camper. Did I mention that is was after closing time when I finally got out of there. It is refreshing to see customer service in action![]() ![]() I was surprised to run into Justin and Allison out and about looking for a new toy as well. always a pleasure ![]() Anyway, bottom line here is support your local shops and they will support you ![]() And you know my recomendation as to where to shop

Ditto to Jeff's experience.
I was in there late one night to pick up a fork. Tani and Raul stayed late working on my bike to make sure the fork was adjusted properly. They had to decrease the travel from 5-4". I was running late to go watch my friend's daugher race at the BMX track in Orange. Tani offered to meet me there to drop off my bike so I wouldn't be late. I was floored, what customer service. I didn't take him up on it but it was very cool of them to stay after hours and finish up my bike. |

i can second, third, and fourth the praises for The Path's customer service! when i was inquiring about my new dawg primo, tani was very quick and prompt to reply to my emails! (not to hi-jack, but neil and the bubbs at adrenaline have been equally impressive when it comes to customer service).

Just be sure to check everything before leaving, as my recent experiences with the Path have lead to multiple return trips due to parts not being replaced after they worked on the bike/wheels, or wrong parts being attached.
However, they are more than willing to fix any problems and have always approached us cheerfully--sometimes they just need a little more time to find the missing items

I love the Path, it's the only place I shop. But I didn't really go over the build on my One9 before leaving last week, just to excited about the bike... needless to say I've got some things that'll need to be addressed when I take it back in for some new parts that I'm waiting on. But I have no reservations that I will be taken care of, without a doubt. |
