Yeah, I really love this place. In the last 2 months, Ive got a new frame, my girlfriend got a new bike and two of my buddies bought new bikes there. The path is seriously the only place I have ever felt like a true friendly local bike shop.

So I know its late and its been about a week and a half since my first visit, but I have to say I was expecting a bit more. maybe I had some jax irvine vibes around me that the shop peeps didn't like.
I'd just bought a shock off of racinjason and needed to get some spacers/reducers that we didn't have on hand at my shop. It was a sunday and I drove over on my lunch break, anxious to get the shock mounted that I'd purchased that morning. I measured everything before heading over so I could quickly get what I needed and not sound like a doofus, but the guy in their service department proceeded to tell me a few things I already knew, like "the pieces don't always fit flush with the shock because they touch in the middle" duhhh... Anyways they had the right parts (which I'm very appreciative of, that's kinda why I went there), and so I headed to the checkout after browsing the overwhelming collection of stuff. The whole time I was in there nobody acknowledged me or said hi, and the checkout guy just swiped my card and handed me a receipt without saying a word. I guess I thought the shop would be like a sweet hang out where everyone's real friendly, but it appeared that they all had much more important things to do than acknowledge me. Kinda bugged me but I will not stop recommending people there for small parts that our shop does not carry. Awesome shop, I can't lie, but less than stellar experience with the employees, I have to admit. |

Fred, thanks for trying to exlpain/justify our culture. I think folks sometimes feel that we are rude because they underistimate our workload. |

![]() ![]() To the OP........... Bottom line for me is I can walk in there get good advice and 95% of the time they have what I want in stock at a good price. They do not waste my time or their time trying to get me to buy stuff I don't want. Let me know of another shop the carries Hope brakes and pads and about 20 different 29'er tires ![]()

So far I have not been there without someone trying to help me out even though I just want to grab a couple of tubes(of course left with MUCH more) and get out.
I've been to many many shops and most of the time they all either too busy or too cool to talk to me. I'm amazed how many people Tani has at the shop to help people....even his own daughter on the weekends. ![]() That said Path is the only place I know that stocks soooooo many cool things that no one else carries and completely shreds my wallet every time I go there. Coolest Ti parts including custom Ti bars and Ti lock ring for your bling SS anyone? Didn't even know they existed till I walked into path. Wait is that good or bad? ![]()

Captian of BIG RED

I would like to give a big THANKS to Tani and the peeps at the Path. Saturday Maria, Adam, and I were out and heading for dinner and we were heading in the direction of the Path and thought we would swing by and see what time they were open till or at least what time they opened on Sunday. We have been having issues with our rear wheel on the Big Red bike and wanted to pick up a back-up set of wheels so we could have the problem hub fixed and still ride. Well when we arrived at the shop it was after 6:00 and they were closed. The guys were riding around in the parking lot and we asked them what time they opened on Sunday. They told us and then Tani asked what we were looking for and reopened the shop just for us to make our purchase, thanks Tani. I put the wheels on Saturday night and went for a ride on Sunday. Monday I took the old rear wheel into the shop for repair and Karl hooked me up in the repair dept., thanks Karl. I have had nothing but good service from the Path and hope that they keep up the good work. THANK YOU!
