Yeah it's too bad for me The Path is so far away. I live in Pasadena so to get to Tusin is not that fun. However I have been shopping there quite frequently and having things shipped to me. I am willing to pay a bit extra for expert advice and to help out a great shop. I tend to work through Brian who I have built up a great relationship with. Talk about great customer service from the folks down there.

If I need something quick or service I can't do myself I always head to the Open Road in Pasadena. Steve is amazing!

I hate The Path.
All those nice frames and high end gear!
And I so HATE that medium Sultan in raw displayed above the wall of shoes!
And I HATE even more the medium DHR in raw hanging from the rafters!

Someone freaking buy those d@mn things so I don't have to see them.

ps... Tani if the DHR isn't gone by end of next week

I complain about the shop sometimes but I suppose it is a blessing to live near it.

This past Saturday, my rear hub blows out. I take my wheel to The Path at around 4:45pm. At first, Raoul tells me that I might get the wheel back on Thurs. But after hearing my case about why I needed it back to ride Sunday, he tells me that if he has the parts he'll do it. The shop's closing time of 5pm comes and goes, and Raoul is still working on my wheel and gets it done. These guys form relationships with their customers- a rarity these days. It's service like this that keeps me loyal to THE PATH.

I've been going to the path now for all my mountain bike needs. Lately i haven't had a bike to ride and after hearing about there loaner program i was amazed.

I have now rented a bike from there 5 times and am now ready to purchase a new 09 Stumpy from them this week and all the money i put into the rentals is coming right back to me and into the new bike cost. Great deal and a great local bike shop and about 15 minutes away from me.

I will always recommend the path to anyone i know that's into bikes and looking for a new shop to check out.

On STM: here's the latest that's coming soon at the Path

Quote:
The goodie that I am most pleased about at this time is 1-2 day turn around times on repairs are back. We have been a week behind on service all summer, and now we are finally caught back up.

In other exciting news, we are expecting the first Chris King bottom brackets this week, and Intense Tracers are in.

Thanks

Default Yep!

I used to wonder as a kid what would take the place of Chuckie Cheese when I grew up. Clearly The Path had plans for me. Totally great shop. I got turned on to them about 3 years and was just looking at my latest receipt from them. I've bought 3 bikes from them over the last 3 years and each year what I've spent has doubled the previous purchase.

I believe, given the compounding nature of the plan they have me on, in less than 2 more bikes, I'll be spending approximately $1,000,000 for it. And I'm positive it'll be worth every dime.

Default Reality Check

i went there for the first time this week. i have a hub that's on it's last legs, and the wheels are about 6 years old, so i thought i'd check to see if i could upgrade to something lighter. i went in, somebody quickly asked me if i needed help. and asked what price range i was in. i said medium to low.

well, j.h.christ--i can't believe what people are willing to pay for wheels. it's not like i'm sponsored or racing or rich. i didn't pay much more than that for my first fisher full squish. i think i'm just going to save up a little more and get some used wheels...with a ss frame attached.

they had a lot of stuff, but i think i'll just stick to my local shop (2w1p) in costa mesa for my (very, evidently) basic needs. no offence intended.

The Path took great care of my rear wheel after another shop screwed it up (multiple cracked nipples and the wrong size spokes when building it). Raul kept me updated as things progressed and the wheel was done on the date promised. I was not surprised when the Path gave great service at a fair price.

I've have had nothing but great service from these guys. Whenever I have a question, they always seems to have an answer for me. Expensive as it may be, they seem to have the solution in stock. Better than having to drive all over town to find that solution. Thanks for the level of service and inventory Tani!

Yesterday I spent about an hour looking online for a brake lever to finish my bike build. Then stopped by the Path and they had it in stock. I is great to have a place that stock everything I hate waiting for my new toys.
