The M6 is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stopped by yesterday just to check out a few things and do some frame shopping. It was a little busy so I couldn't hang around too much, but I did run into the Foo, aka Duan. I'm still not fixed on the 7point frame but it's looking very promising. The Kona Stinky has my attention as well.

Just came back from my ride at La Costa Trails.
I tell you what...that new fork completely transformed the Heckler, it's like the geo just all of a sudden "clicked", man, I set it at 130 on the climbs, and 160 on the descents...WoW, what a difference. Even at 130 the new A to C brought up my BB a little, I only pedal smacked once as opposed to several times (on same trail). I'm stoked

Did I already mention this fork is like buttah?!

No worries bro...
Next weekend?
We didn't bring the camera today, we just wanted to ride. Wierd how that is, some days we are just out to be out and enjoy the outdoors and wildlife, scenery and even bugs and try to capture it on cam, but today we just rode, the kids didn't even call once (I don't even know how that happened) which was shocking.
But next weekend if you don't have other plans we'll be there again

Default The Path

I wanted to post this in the market place section but im too new.

I wanted to say that my expereince at the Path today with Tani was a great one. We talked for about 30 minutes about wheels and I walked out having a bitchen set of wheels being built that should last me a long time.

I guess I should have asked if there was an STR discount!

Thanks to Tani and the path, I will be back to buy lots of stuff.

Thanks for coming in yesterday.

We do all of our wheel builds at our kit price, which is our rock bottom. So, sory, but no further discounting on wheel builds.

HUGE thank you to the Path and Brian.

The day after St Pat's, and he was still in early, greeted me with a smile, gave me my frame, and put in the headset, bottom bracket and cranks. All in time for me to go back to work (woohoo!).

PLUS, everyone at the Path had to listen to my bad jokes, puns, and inappropriate comments the entire time--complete with courtesy laughs!!!

I'll post pics of the bike when it's built up--if you're too anxious, please email John and have him bring over the missing parts (I'll gladly pass along his email).
So far, it's a Kermit Green Air9 with a red King headset

there is a bike shop review thread that maybe one of the other mods can move these comments to (since you weren't able to post there yet). the path is a great shop...im glad they are far enough away from me (about 35 minutes) or else i'd be in there way too much!

Default It's good to be the King.

Sounds like a good title so I used it.

Tani and the rest of ya at The Path, cheers

No reorders needed which is a first for me in a long time since I always order non-stock items. Got a great deal as well.

What really impressed me ... I have not been to a bike shop in some time where, when you pull up to park, you see Dh rigs, XC rigs, etc etc sittin' on the backs of the trucks/cars in the lot. It was like the days of old at Wheel World in Woodland Hills, 2000 to 2004 1/2.

I did not see the entire shop as the lil' bear wanted to stay with the bikes and forks. I also did not stay long because of the lil bear or I would have had to leave with a Stinky Enduro Sunday, 'cause the Bear would not keep his paws off of them.

So . . . when will a "Path" open in Simi?

As the guys at Pivot say, "The frame weight is deceiving because it includes BB bearings and a front der mount, so the bike ends up light". The Mach 5 frame weighs almost seven pounds. It can be built up around 25-26 pounds. The final bike weight equates to about a 6 pound frame or a little less. The Mach 4 is a little lighter.
