Thumbs up Cal Coast Bicycles

So, here in SD we have quite a few shops to choose from and I have tried almost all of them. Some I have been satisfied with and some, well, let's just say I haven't been satisfied with. However, on a recommendation from a friend of mine I went down to Cal Coast to check them out. From the outside you would think this is just a normal shop, you know, nothing special, a bunch of cruisers outside(they are cool cruisers though) and no mountain bikes. But when you step inside it is a different story, great selection of bikes of all kinds(of course mountain, road, some cool commuters, and even a couple of cross bikes), and a nice selection of parts, including some bling. I haven't spent that much money there yet, just some tires and brake pads and a hub. The people working there are all nice and eager to help and cool to chat with, hell I talked to Rob for half an hour and all I buying was some brake pads. I haven't used it myself but they're service department is supposed to be great. Anyway, I will stop being long winded now and just say that I think this is a cool shop with good prices(offer discounts and price match) and nice people. I will be doing lots of shopping here in the future! By the way I am in no way affiliated with this shop(other than a customer) or receiving anything for writing this review. Later.

I used to live down the street from there. Good guys, nice shop. They even have Ibis bikes...Lopes' new sponsor if you want to check out what that's all about.

I just went in there for the first time last week and got a few tubes. Very cool shop. Nice folks, they even gave me some free handle bar plugs. I'll be back. Also, I think they are SDMBA sponsors.

Awesome shop. Charlie the owner has done free work on my bike, and offered me a Giant Reign 0 practically at cost when mine was stolen. Alex is also a suspension guru, and can help properly set up just about anything out there. A+!!

I too make Cal Coast Bicycles my LBS. I have to agree when first viewing the outside with the beach cruisers, what kind if bike shop it is, but when you go inside you smile at all the MTB & parts on hand.

Great customer service for sure & cool to BS with the guys in there.

Double thumbs up for a great San Diego Bicycle shop

My buddy took his bike in this week and was stoked when Greg & Alex built a new front wheel & installed new fork same day.
