Default Hindsight is 20/20. Bikes you regret selling.

Title says it all. Anyone have a bike they wish they just didn't sell, or get rid of? Pics/stories?
Ill start - I regret selling my Chumba F4. I only rode it on proper DH trails a handful of times before I had to sell to cover school loans Those few times were perfect though, never felt more confident or fast on a trail before. Sick bike. Miss you Chumba.. come back!

None. I had two bikes that I bought and never regretted getting rid of them...a GT I-Drive and a Kona Unit.

Not a MTB, But the one bike I regret ever selling was my 1993 S&M Holmes w/ S&M Pitchforks and 1st Generation Slam Bars. That bike would be my pride and joy if I still had it. I sold it in 1995 for $100 of which I only received $40.

1989 Klein Pinnacle (w/ Bontrager Switchblades, WTB Rollercams and original Grease Guard HS + hubs, Cook Bros cranks, etc). At that time (1992) it was a top bike with the best components you could buy. Lost it to a pawn shop. Oh well, the life I was leading then was not conducive to retaining one's possessions.

An 83 Fisher my cousin gave me when he moved to Europe. My first MTB, had no idea who this Fisher guy was and sold it for cheap when I moved away for college to cover moving expenses.

An 83 Ross Mt. Hood, 20" steel frame, forest green, big effin cantilever brakes, beige walled tires, rode like a dream. Was my next bike after the Fisher.

This one hurts the most as I busted my azz doing any odd job I could to buy it. It took everything I gave it and returned it in multitudes. Sold it to get a one way ticket and cover my moving expenses to Hawaii in 85.

Selling my 5.5EVP to go all 29er stable.
I miss that super-plush and nimble platform.
Hopefully it found a good home.

I won't go into the list of my old BMX bikes that I sorely regret selling.

I've had a lot of mountain bikes come and go, but there is only one that I really regret selling (didn't actually sell the whole bike, but most of it). I had the frame for about 8 years, and it had seen a lot and done a lot.

It was a 6 pound aluminum Azonic Evolution.

The frame actually didn't do anything well, but it did everything pretty good. I rode it cross country, rode and raced DH with it, raced BMX and 4X with it as well. It was also my around-town bike that I walked into Pep Boys, Ralphs, and many other stores.

Despite only having a single chainring in the front, the bike was a good durable buddy bike - the "first ride" for many new would-be mountain bikers - my wife included.

It's still owned by the person I sold it to (STR member).

It was a sad evening when I sold it. I never realized how attached to that bike I was.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the bike itself handy, but are a few action shots. These pics are the most recent with the most recent build - most of its life, the frame had mostly beat-up hand-me-down parts on it. I guess I gave it its last year with me a good life with some nice parts. I'll try to find the old photos of it.

I wish I still had my '98 GT Xizang. Probably one of the best ridiing hardtails I have ever ridden.

Plus, my '03 Santa Cruz Bullit......I bought a new one in '07 to replace the '03 that I sold 2 years before....but didn't have it set up as nice, so I didn't ride it much.
I crashed hard enough on my Tallboy to break my leg,

I sold my on-one SS to fund another project. I think the project was a Cannondale Scalpel, I stupidly thought I'd have a go at racing and failed miserably.

I even tried begging with the guy who bought it, but he'd not sell it back to me.

It was a simple build, these steel On-One DN6 frames were about $300 new in England, and they are just sooooo comfy. I loved it.

I've bought another on-one frame since, a Scandal, also in PINK !? But just not the same !!

Ride it like you stole it.
